Create your account, pick your starter and learn the basics
PokeWorld is a free browser Pokémon MMO — no download, no install. You explore a giant 3D world together with thousands of other trainers, catch wild Pokémon, battle gyms, hunt shinies and trade with friends. It runs right in your browser on desktop and mobile, and the default play page is the full 3D map.
This guide walks you through your very first session: making an account, picking your starter, learning the controls and what to do in your first 30 minutes.
Did a friend send you a referral link? Use it! Referrals reward both of you:
| Who | Reward |
|---|---|
| You (the new player) | +100 coins |
| Your friend (the referrer) | +200 coins + |
Once you're playing, share your own referral link on Discord to stack up rewards too.
Every new account automatically gets 3 days of free Elite status. Don't let it go to waste — this is the strongest head start in the game:
PokeWorld offers 24 starters across 8 regions — every classic trio from Kanto to Galar. Your starter arrives at level 5 and will be your partner for the early game. There's no wrong pick: every starter is viable, so choose the one you love.

You'll also pick your look: choose 1 of 15 trainer avatars to represent you on the map.
Move with W A S D. The camera follows you around the 3D world automatically.
A touch joystick appears on screen — drag it to walk in any direction. The whole game, including the full 3D map, works on phones.
Wild Pokémon roam visibly around you. Simply walk into a wild Pokémon to start an encounter — no random grass surprises, you choose your targets. From the battle screen you can fight, weaken it and throw a ball to catch it.
| Resource | You start with | Notes |

| Coins | 500 coins | Main currency — earned from battles, spent in the Shop |
| Starter Pokémon | Level 5 | Your first team member |
| Team slots | 6 max | Carry up to 6 Pokémon; the rest go to storage |
| Elite Trial | 3 days | Elite Zone, 2× shiny rate, daily 💎 gems |
Poké Balls cost 200 coins each in the Shop, so your starting 500 coins buys you two balls with change to spare — and every battle win pays +100 coins, so you'll grow that pile fast.
